There you have it!! 82 movies made in Utah. Not too shabby a list. In fact, Utah is famous for more than just being a one-of-a-kind filming location too--the Sundance Film Festival, hosted in Park City, has become one of the largest independent film festivals in the world.

People come from all over to experience the Sundance Film Festival, held annually in January. Many of the biggest names in filmmaking got their breaks while debuting here in Utah. Sundance has made indies into blockbusters over night, and it all happens right here, every year.

So whether film is being shot here, debuted here, or produced, edited & mastered here, the film industry is a thriving force in Utah with plenty more on the way.
